Warnings

  • The entire facility and grounds are non-smoking.
  • Please wear comfortable clothing. High heels are not advised.
  • There is no parking facility. Please use a nearby parking lot or come by public transportation.

The Yokohama Disaster Risk Reduction Learning Center is a hands-on facility for as many people as possible to have fun learning about earthquakes, fires and other disasters and be thoroughly prepared for them.

It offers the opportunity to learn from realistic disaster footage, three-dimensional shaking and earthquake reenactment, fire simulations and other advanced technology.
Naturally, all ages, from small children to senior citizens, coming individually or as a family, may experience this free of charge.

We hope you will come experience firsthand how best to protect yourself as well as the importance of helping each other during a major disaster.
